Resumo

Resumo: A fasceíte plantar é uma das causas mais frequentes de dor na face plantar do pé e constitui um motivo habitual de consulta em ortopedia, medicina desportiva, fisioterapia e podologia. Este artigo de opinião que parte da experiência pessoal para discutir a natureza multifatorial da doença, a importância da avaliação biomecânica, o papel do encurtamento dos gémeos e do tendão de Aquiles, o valor do diagnóstico diferencial e a necessidade de uma terapêutica progressiva. Defende-se uma abordagem prudente, centrada no doente, que privilegie fisioterapia, alongamentos, terapias infiltrativas e ondas de choque antes de ponderar a cirurgia percutânea minimamente invasiva. A reflexão integra a evidência científica recente e preserva a informação clínica essencial.
